Cheers Mate..... Just needed to make sure.. Before I ordered... Thanks
Going to build a DiY bike stand out of Black pipe real soon ( designed by me) and I'll be doing that BB mod (like Either BigCam or Blown on Underground) where you put a grease nipple in it to create a sealed BB... :-)

Yeah I had a 21 speed MTB back in the UK.... I hated the derailer... And hated setting it  up.... Single speed is great as long as you get the right gearing.... You and the other guys on here, underground and YouTube have given out some great hints and tips.... And is what made me decided on the Beast... Plus its cheap as chips so you can mod and customize it with out messing up too much... Albert could you just check one of my other posts.. Just to make sure the gear I listed is OK... I don't want to order if I'm wrong... Thanks Mate!!

Yeah I'm sticking with The Beast ( eventually...... Next month yay!!!!) I have some nice ideas for it....and not being bike mechanical minded I love the idea of no gears... Nice simple bike for cruising .... See one of my other posts.... I'll be posting pics of the build once I get started....

Found this on a FB group ( Mongoose Fat-Bikes) Limited edition HUFFY ( yeah I know not Mongoose) Star Wars Fat bike... Apparently it is on sale at Target next month for $350... Not for me at that price.... Nice style frame though. Disc front ( by the looks of it) Canti/Vbrake rear.... Bad looking welds on down tube/ BB..... Strange wide axle on BB to accommodate the off set... Looks a bit weak... They must have used a standard MTB shell for the BB.

Introduce yourself here first / Hi from N. Minnesota
« on: July 31, 2015, 06:37:51 am »
Hey guys..... Greetings from Chilly MN..... I'm originally from London UK.... Been here for 3 yrs... ( the wife is a Native Minnesotan we have a little girl aged 4) ... Yeah its a bit different from London.
As of writing this I'm still Fattyless but I'll be rectifying that within the next month. My plan is to get the Beast .... Normal gearing mods .....bike is going to be a rat cruiser for flats Street and minor hills ... Maybe a bit of snow ( well it is our state element).
Respray in matte black with blood red highlights. Wide cruiser bars, lay back seat post,a nice cruiser seat, identi clamp /tektro front brake ... And a bit of bling.... I'll post images as and when I get started on the project...

Ok... Hoping to get my Beast next month ( fingers crossed)
My plan... Being a newbie at this I might have loads of questions... Got my tools...I'm ready.......

Bike will be Resprayed Matt black with blood red highlights, normal re grease of everything ..... This is going to be just a rat cruiser.. Mainly flat roads and trails.. Not too much on the inclines or hills..... I'll be using this to get around for photography ( wildlife) so the problems that have come up with the weight are not too much of an issue in my case

My shopping list ( so far)

Bike ( obviously..... In Black resprayed if black bike is sold out)

OK apart from bling and other accessories that is it for now
Repaint.... Rattle can or roller... Enamel??? Is Rustoleum OK or better to go for Auto paint.
Going by some threads on the internet Mongoose have worked out the problem of the rear axle snapping by supplying a one piece part ( not welded) is this true??
Please let me know what you think.. And if I may have missed anything. Thanks
