How do I pull off crank sprocket.
« on: February 14, 2014, 01:07:09 pm »
I got the crank arms off w/o any problems, but I can't get the sprocket to break loose.  I'm replacing the cranks, but using the existing BB, and spindle.

I thought I broke the arms loose, but they won't move.  How do I get get them off if they are pressed on? Do I need a crank puller, bc I dont have one.  Thanks.

Problem solved: I bought a $10 crank puller.  Now I have a new problem, new crank arm is striking the frame.  Can I put a spacer on it bc it barely hits.

Yeah you should be able to put a few washers behind the arm. It's a common issue.
